After performing a Windows update I am unable to start the MMS service and I receive the following error:  | |||

Hi, What Windows update? (i.e., what specific version and update?) What version of NowSMS? Have you tried a re-install of NowSMS? We're not aware of any incompatible version issues. -- Des NowSMS Support | |||

Hi Dennis, When exactly does this "program compatibility" error appear? Are you trying to launch NowSMS configuration, or start/stop the services via the Windows services dialog? I ask because your screen shot shows the Windows services dialog, but the program compatibility report references "application smsgw". smsgw.exe is the NowSMS configuration program, so it would be run from a start menu link. I can only guess that Windows program compatibility settings have somehow gotten confused on that system. Try right-clicking on the start menu entry for NowSMS, and select "Properties". There is a "Compatibility" page in the properties dialog. Make sure that none of the compatibility mode settings are selected. I'd still suggest a re-install. If you do not uninstall first, a re-install will preserve all existing settings. -- Des NowSMS Support | |||
