what is the best way to upload a list of lets say 500 contacts? i used the distribution list function and i would include personal numbers of mine to test to see if it went through the whole list and it doesnt. please help. thanks

What is your configuration for sending MMS? I assume it is a modem...

Does the MMSC-yyyymmdd.LOG show all of the numbers being processed with MMSOUT entries?

That would mean the message was posted to the recipient via the operator MMSC. But, there is a catch that could explain what you are seeing.

By default, when you send an MMS message, if it is to more than 50 recipients, NowSMS breaks the recipient list into parts and submits up to 50 recipients at a time. This may be more than the operator MMSC is prepared to accept.

This value can be adjusted by editing \VASPOUT\OutboundRouteName\VASP.INI, and under the [VASP] header, adding or editing:

MaxRecips=###

### is the number of recipients peer message instance when posting to the operator MMSC. For example, if this is set to 1, NowSMS posts the message once for each recipient.

I suspect you'll find success with a lower setting than the default of 50. Up until earlier this year, our default was a 20, and perhaps we should've tested with more operator MMSCs before increasing it.

P.S. - for NowSMS Lite, OutboundRouteName = either nowsmslite, or the Android device name.

i a using a samsung galaxy s4 on US gsm network.
i attached a sample of my log (mind you i broke my list into like 80 groups of 8 and send 1 group at a time manually)
i sent the groups back to back with no wait in between. i would send one then click continue and send the next group and so on.
i put my other cell number in randomly as a test and i got message but this is not something i can do long term or for larger lists.
i would like to be able to throttle the system so i can send a large list smoothly with 100% success rate or at least something i can trust most go through (i understand there may be some that fail.)log

where is the vasp setting located? i see the MMSC VASP tab on the gateway but my box is blank. nothing comes up when i click stats or edit. when i click add there is another box that comes up where i can enter stuff but i dont see anywhere to edit " \VASPOUT\OutboundRouteName\VASP.INI,"

This is a file. Locate the NowSMS program directory and it is relative to that. There is no user interface to adjust this.

NowSMS is usually installed in \Program Files\NowSMS or \Program Files (x86)\NowSMS. Go to that directory, locate the VASPOUT subdirectory, then "OutboundRouteName" will be a subdirectory matching the device name of the modem. There you will find the VASP.INI which can be edited with NOTEPAD.

I would just like enquire how I can clear the MMS that got stuck on the portal that never went out.
We submitted them about 2-3 days ago but they are not going through.
We either want to delete them from the log or get them out successful, could you possibly assist with that

Your outbound MMS queue appears to be empty. After so many retries (or with hard failure response codes), messages are automatically purged.
