We're evaluating using NowSMS to send MMS notifications with the Lite version, but I could not use the feature. I was expecting the following screen : http://www.nowsms.com/doc/web-menu-interface/send-mms-notification I don't have the "MMS Notification" button in the left panel but I do have the "MMS Message" button and it works. I am using Windows 7, with a rooted Galaxy S3 and NowSMS Modem v 2014.06.30. Could you show us a way forward to enable MMS Notifications (custom MMS URL) ? Regards, Martin

Hi Martin, Hmm...I know that functionality that requires MMSC support is not available in NowSMS Lite. But strictly speaking, the MMS Notification feature does not require or use MMSC functionality. So I am not sure why it is not shown. The URL parameters will work (see example near bottom of http://www.nowsms.com/doc/submitting-sms-messages/sending-mms-notifications-and- content), and the web form can be accessed at http://127.0.0.1:8800/Send%20MMS%20Notification.htm That said, MMS Notification uses a binary SMS format, and the Android modem interface does not support this except under special conditions described here: http://www.nowsms.com/send-wap-push-and-binary-sms-with-android-phone-as-modem -- Des NowSMS Support

Thank you for this detailed answer. We didn't manage to ues the Xposed framework on a rooted phone, but we were successful with an HTC Sense. Using the URL parameters to send SMS notifications was a success. |
