Hi,

I can send MMS successfully from the web interface, but it always fails when I try to submit with the PHP script (sendmms.php).

I notice that when I send from the web interface, the SMSOUT log does not show any activity.

But when I use the PHP script, NowSMS is trying to send SMS SAR messages which are failing with HTTP error 503.

Thanks for your support,

Mitch

Hi Mitch,

This sounds similar to the case here: http://support.nowsms.com/discus/messages/485/72915.html

I assume from your other posts that you are using an Android phone as a modem.

When you defined the Android modem to NowSMS, did you select its name from the list, or did you manually enter the IP address of the Android device?

There is a bug in the current release if an Android device is manually configured with an IP address that includes a port number. For example, 192.168.0.103:8990

If you leave off the port number (e.g., 192.168.0.103), then NowSMS will work correctly and assume use of the default port 8990.

NowSMS will also work correctly if you select the modem by name in the list.

This is fixed in version 2015.05.19 or later, which can currently be found at the bottom of the page at http://www.nowsms.com/download-free-trial under the list of interim releases.

If you are defining the modem to NowSMS by its IP address, make sure a static IP is defined for the device (usually a DHCP reservation). One of the advantages of defining the modem by name is that NowSMS can find it even if the IP address changes.
