Hi we implement a Connection with a MMS HUB. There's two IP address one for the incoming trafic @IP.17 , the other for the outgoing traffic @IP.20 ( here the reference is the hub ) I did configure MMSC VASP @IP.17 ( incoming traffic in our MMSC point of view ) and also a MMSC routing @IP.20 ( for outgoing traffic from our MMSC point of view ). Now let's go for the trouble. when a MMS is send through the HUB , The .req is sent using the @IP.20; once the mms is delivered , the @IP.17 from HUB send me the RES. the trouble is that the MMSC respond to @IP.17 when the HUB expect a response to @IP.20 as it is outgoing trafic. i try to use the feature "force via defined route" on the VASP account menu , but without success. usually , operator does this using a FW and do NAT in order to translate the IP address , but is there any solution on MMSC side ? second question , what is the use of the force via defined route feature ? thanks beforehand for your help Br Marc | |||

Hi Marc, Sorry for the delay in response. We have recently made some changes to allow wildcard IPs (or a list of IPs) in the MMSC VASP to simplify these scenarios, which are very common. But I don't think you need to update. It sounds like you need to set the "MM4 Ack Route" in the @IP.17 MMSC VASP account...it should point to the @IP.20 outbound route. -- Des NowSMS Support | |||

Hi Des thanks for update i did it but it seems that it is not working, do i have to restart the mmsc service in order to take into account ? i can you send pcap trace if you need thanks beforehand for your help Br Marc | |||
