Hi Peter,

Can you access 192.168.123.148:8800 from the browser on the Android device?

Connection ERROR indicates an inability to make a TCP/IP connection. Perhaps your router blocks this type of connection?

If both nets have internet access, it may be worth trying Remote via cloud to get up and running.

Can you access 192.168.123.148:8800 from the browser on the Android device? YES, login page is shown

both are on the same LAN but different subnet.

eventually, i want to try VPN but at least remote direct must work in lan environment.

It is not clear to me why this would not be working. Perhaps a subtle typo...a comma instead of a dot...an extra dot? I’m wondering if even a leading or trailing blank space might cause an issue.

Try backspacing to clear the NowSMS server address, and entering it again.

You can also set it up in the local connection mode, but manually configure the IP address of the modem.
