Hi Matthew, Are you consistently seeing a log deletion every day that maintains a 15 day window? I don't have an explanation for this. We will begin an investigation. I have a test server with the default settings, and it is purging at 90 days. I just changed these settings to LogRetainDays=365 and will monitor. Regards, Des NowSMS Support | |||

Hi Mathew, I was about to send a follow-up reply telling you that this issue had me perplexed. A couple of days ago, I changed the setting on one of my test servers to LogRetainDays=365. Previously logs were getting deleted after 90 days, but because of the change, the server has stopped deleting the old logs for now. But as I reopened this thread, I noticed another setting in your screen capture that is the cause of the problem you are experiencing. You have the following settings: LogDirectory=d:\NowSMS\Logs LogRetainDays=365 MessageIDTrackingDir=d:\NowSMS\Logs The problem is that these two settings are pointing to the same directory. The "MessageIDTrackingDir" (usually SMPPDATA) is cleaned out of all files older than 15 days. There is a setting SMPPDataRetainDays=## that can adjust this timing, but I would not recommend increasing this retention, as keeping more of this data may create performance issues. Instead, I would recommend separating these locations into separate directories. Regards, Des NowSMS Support | |||
