I need to know what to answer to my client who has a Motorola Razr from Cingular (USA). Everytime he has an incoming msg sent using NowSMS, it is simply displayed on his cellphone's screen and never goes into his inbox. With regular msgs (that is, any msgs coming from Cingular or non-Cingular carriers), it goes directly to his inbox. Can you pls explain why is this happening? (this only happens to his Motorola Razr. He has another cellphone but different brand but msgs go normally to his inbox) | |||

Are these just plain text messages? It sounds like you are sending a "flash" message. (Or at least the phone thinks it is receiving a "flash" or "class 0" message.) What happens if you submit a message from the "Send Text Message" web form, and do not check any of the "Message Type" or "Message Class" settings? Does this exhibit the same behaviour? The reason I ask is to narrow down whether there is something different between sending from the web interface and the messages from your application (to determine if there is something different about how your application is sending messages). Beyond that, I'd need to know more about your SMSC connection. -bn |
