Dear Bryce Norwood , Why do I receive so many SMS after I only send one SMS message.The situation is the same after I send DRM rights(XML format).Is it possible related to operator? I use GSM phone connect to NOWSMS gateway,how can I do or set the right settings? thanks. | |||

Hi Daniel, Does your SMSOUT-yyyymmdd.LOG file show many "Retry pending" entries? If so, but you are receiving multiple copies of the sent message, then this suggests that the GSM modem is reporting an error in situations where the message was actually sent. If the modem returns an error in the submit process, NowSMS always tries again (by default, I think it is 20 attempts). But the modem shouldn't be returning an error if the message was dispatched ok. If this is the situation that you are seeing, what is the error message listed after "Retry Pending -" in the SMSOUT-yyyymmdd.LOG? If this does not match your situation, then I'd like to see debug logs from your system. From the "Serial #" page of the configuration dialog, enable the SMSDEBUG.LOG. Send again, and assuming that the multiple messages are again dispatched ... post a reply with that file attached. -bn | |||

It looks like we're having problems getting responses back from the modem, like the modem is not returning any response at all after some messages are submitted. It could be a flaky USB cable or driver. To enable the debug log, go to the "Serial #" page of the NowSMS configuration, where there is a checkbox option to enable it. SMSDEBUG.LOG is the log that we want to enable. -bn | |||
