Hello,
I am writing this message because I'm sure i can find the answer here. These are some details about my problem to configure two connections throw the same gateway:
1- I have 2 gateways: the first is connected (Frame relay network) to the first operator of telecommunications.the second, over the VPN network to the other private operator.
2- I have recieved login, password, server host, port,.. for the second gateway and i have insert the sender (66766) and it's ok.
[My Prolem]
I want now to configure the same gateway (the second)to recieve and send new SMS with a new sender (66767).Adding that i have recieved new parameters for the second connection from my private operator.I tried to create the new connection but it erases the previous one.furthermore, the adresse IP of the gateway is already inserted in the firewall of my internet service provider.
I think i have bombarded you with details and I rely on you to find with me the solution.
Thanks
Rochdi

Hi Rochdi,

The easiest answer is to update to v5.51b or later, as they have better handling for this type of configuration (multiple connections to the same SMSC). It is a free update, so there are no issues there.

A link for the download can be found here:

Basically, in this version, you'll see that NowSMS will automatically append "#x" to the IP address or host name when you add an additional connection to an SMSC.

In previous verions, the work-around was to use "HOSTS" file entries to trick NowSMS into seeing the same SMSC under different IP addresses. (Described here http://support.nowsms.com/discus/messages/485/791.html and http://support.nowsms.com/discus/messages/1/2167.html
