Hi ,

I have Came Acrros a Case where a NOWSMS Server has Multiple IP Addresses Availble for Different ISPs , NOWSMS can listen to ALL IP addresses for incoming Connections.
Yet what can be a solution so outgoing Traffic can be through 2 Different IP address so that wll act as Fault tolerance or Backup to the same SMSC connection , or even Load BAlance Traffic for Higher Throughput.

Taken into consideration that Multiple IPs can be hosted over Different NICs or Same NIC... doesnt matter which will suit you better.

Hi,

I'm not sure that I understand the question.

Do you want to just define the SMSC connection twice? That will cause it to connect to the SMSC twice, and load balance.

If you want instead to do a fail over, then you need to use a HOSTS file approach. Here's a thread that has an example of this:

Dear BRyce ,
My Question is Different , We Connect to the Same SMSC IP , i was mentionting the NOWSMS Source IPs..

IF a Server has Different ISP Connections , NOWSMS Uses Only 1 IP for connecting to Different SMSCs , yet if we can Define the Source IP for Each Connection , Balancing of Internet Traffic and Redundancy for connecting to the Same SMSC will be perfect...

Yet NOWSMS can be accessed Via Web through ALL IPs , its outgoing traffic uses only 1 IP Address..

I hope its clear now..
