I have used php to do just what you are asking. The sms triggers a php script, the script inserts the sms message into the database. | |||

In NowSMS, we refer to this type of application as a "2-way SMS" application. Basically, you can configure NowSMS so that when it receives an SMS message, it calls a script running on a web server ... passing details about the received message to the script. The script can then take whatever action it wants to take on the message ... sending a reply ... adding the message to or updating a database ... triggering some other type of activity ... etc. For more details on configuring 2-way SMS, see: http://www.nowsms.com/documentation/ProductDocumentation/2_way_sms_support.htm The following thread also has more information and links to some simple 2-way SMS examples: http://support.nowsms.com/discus/messages/1/4520.html -bn |
