For example, I use http://127.0.0.1:8800/?phone=xxxxxxxx&udh=080D0200040B020007&data=00 to send predefined EMS animation and a predefined EMS sound. What about text? How to include it?

Hi, In NowSMS 2006, the "Send EMS Text" web page makes it easy to include text attributes and the pre-defined animations and sounds within an EMS text message. If you want to try to encode the message yourself ... well ... 7-bit coded text is the right way to go. Although the way the 7-bit encoding works, it depends on the length of the UDH. Here's a link that talks about the issue a little bit in a different context: http://support.nowsms.com/discus/messages/1/2008.html With most recent versions of NowSMS, if you just put your text in the "data=" parameter, NowSMS would see that it was not a text string, and perform the appropriate encoding. -bn

P.S. - In NowSMS 2006, see page 178 of the PDF manual for an explanation of how to include EMS markup tags in a text message for direct URL submission. |
