Can I make nowsms 5 send a contact (name and number) to a mobile phone? I would like the phone to say "contact received would you like to save this" or whatever it usually says. Getting a regular sms with a vcard in it won't do. By the way, when I try to send a vcard using nowsms 5 nothing happens in my phone (SE T610)

Sony Ericsson phones don't seem to support the WAP format vcards (which is what our web form sends).

I don't have a T610 to test with myself ... but on the T68i, you just send the vcard as a text SMS, and the phone recognises it automatically.

For example, entering the following data on the "Send Text Message" form works on the T68i:

BEGIN:VCARD
VERSION:2.1
N:Smith,Mike
TEL;PREF:+5551234
END:VCARD

If that doesn't work, usually there is an option in the contacts menu on the phone to send a contact to someone else via SMS.

If I send from the T68i to a Nokia phone, I see that the Nokia phone receives a simple text message with the vcard appearing in the text of the message. But another T68i recognises it as a vcard.

I wonder what you would see when you use this function on the T610?

Thank you Bryce, this is what I was looking for. I can confirm that the vcard text above sent as a regular text message is understood by the SE T610 and is automatically added as a contact. Perfect! I can also confirm that it is not understood by a nokia 6210.
