Currently the only support we have in this area is selection of routes based upon the sender address.

When you configure a "Default Sender Address" for an SMSC connection, NowSMS will give preference to this routing for any messages that are submitted with a matching sender address.

This is probably best explained with an example.

Say that SMSC A has a default sender address of "A", or no default sender address configured. And "Support any outbound message traffic" is checked.

SMSC B has a default sender address of "B". "Support any outbound message traffic" is not checked.

If a message is submitted with a sender address of "B", then it gets routed to SMSC B.

If you want to limit this handling to only certain destination addresses, you can also define destination routes so that this SMSC B only handles this sender for particular destinations.

For different user accounts, you can set a forced sender address that maps to the sender address associated with a particular SMSC definition.

Unfortunately, that's not a perfect solution for every situation. But hopefully that will provide some assistance.
