What is the modem type?

What mobile operator?

"CMS ERROR 193" is a strange error to receive, as it indicates that you don't have a subscription to the SMSC to which you are trying to submit the message.

"CMS ERROR 515" is a modem manufacturer specific error code. On modems that use a Siemens chipset it means invalid characters in the address string. On modems that use a Wavecom chipset it means to wait because there is a command in progress.

I suspect that there's either a problem with the modem that you are using, where it can't handle the message. (For example, the GSM modem impelementation in most Motorola mobile phones cannot send any SMS messages that include a user data header, which prevents most binary message types, including WAP push, from being sent).

Or there could be an issue with your mobile operator, that they do not allow binary SMS messages to be sent. If it is a mobile operator specfic issue, there is one thing you might want to try ... edit SMSGW.INI, and under the [SMSGW] header, add BinaryDCS=4. Then restart the NowSMS service, and try again to see if that works any better.

For our future reference, what mobile operator are you using?
