Hello Sir,
I am using nowsms for just two days. its the trial version. i can send sms and receive too over SMPP with my SMSC. and, i can send Arabic SMS also. my problem is in receiving. i searched the forum and saw the suggestions regarding this. but, let me tell you that, i want to use SMS Command Prefix in arabic. First plz tell me can i do this or not? i have defined the sms command prefix in arabic. and since then it stopped firing my back end script which handles the databse. and in the SMS-IN folder it stores the incoming sms, which is not proecessed. the command prefix is defined in arabic. and i can see it in both the GUI and in the SMSGW.INI file. where i have added the entry ReceiveSMSCharset=iso-8859-6 and restarted nowsms. and lstly, for testing we are sending the msg like this format {ARABICKEYWORD} <english number>. so that it gets the arabic word (which is the command prefix) as the first word of the sms that comes in. after doing all that, nowsms doesnot fire the backend script and stores the sms in the SMS-IN folder, and if i see the files. it has number "30539035.." like this in data field and i think binary=1. I am in a great problem. i need your help ASAP.

Regards,
Shubhadeep

Hi Shubhadeep,

Apologies for the long delay in response. I see from another posting that you have resolved this issue ... I assume that you are not using the "SMS Command Prefix" facility in NowSMS and are instead evaluating the keyword in your script.

Indeed, that is the only solution that I can recommend at this time.

I am referring problem to our engineering bug list for a fix in a future version.
