Hi,

When you send SMTP to SMS is it possible for the sender ID to be specified so that it appears on the receiving phone... also I noticed the body of the message has FM: Blah Blah MSG: Test Message .. how do we make it so that the body of the message would simply have Test Message --- is there a template somwhere for this?

Thanks!

Hi Zane,

Apologies for the delay getting back to you.

I am not clear what you mean by "Sender ID" in this context, could you please explain? (Am I correct that you would like to have the e-mail sender appear as the SMS sender address? This would be an interesting idea, but I am concerned that the size limit on the SMS sender could vary between providers and be too limiting.)

For the other headers, we really should make them configurable. For the next version, we have already made a change where there is no "F:" or "FM:" header. And instead of "S:" and "MSG:" headers, there are just "/" characters to delimit the subject and message text. We probably should make this a template, but if you would like an update that just uses the "/" characters, send an e-mail to nowsms@now.co.uk.
