Hi,

If you only want to configure your own e-mail client (and maybe a few others), then the easiest way to do this is to enable the POP3 server in NowSMS.

Define an "SMS Users" account in NowSMS (enable the setting to "Enable SMTP Login") ... and then configure your e-mail client to connect to the NowSMS server as an additional POP3/SMTP server account.

Page 233 of the NowSMS manual, which describes the POP3 server component, explains more details about configuring Outlook to connect in this manner.

If you want to allow multiple users to send SMS in this manner, without configuring accounts in their e-mail client, then this is also possible. However, this alternate approach is more complex, because it requires that you have more knowledge about setting up e-mail servers.

In this configuration, the NowSMS server appears as an SMTP e-mail server. You need to have an MX (Mail eXchange) record configured in DNS for the e-mail domain associated with the NowSMS server. This MX record needs to point to your NowSMS server or to another SMTP server that will relay SMTP e-mail to the NowSMS server.

Page 230 of the NowSMS manual "E-Mail Access Restrictions" explains how you specify who is allowed to send messages to SMS and/or MMS users in this mode.
