Hi,

I do not understand enough about your system configuration to answer your question.

In other words, I don't know how you use NowSMS ... there are so many ways to use it ... I need to understand how you use it.

What I see from your MMSCDEBUG.LOG is that you are submitting MMS messages to NowSMS using MM7.

Your log shows 2 MMS message submissions using MM7.

The first time, to 9740677445 ... NowSMS tries to send the message as a direct delivery MMSC.

The second time, also to 9740677445 ... NowSMS is instead converting to a Multimedia WAP Push.

I don't know if that is intended, or if that is part of the problem.

I also notice that the MMS message class is sometimes set to advertisement, and the default settings for some mobile phones is to block advertisement messages. So that could also be an issue.

I just don't know enough about your configuration to tell you anything.

What if you just send some simple messages from the web interface of NowSMS? Do you see delays there too?

Thanks Des

From Java Application we are sending MMS to NowSMS MMSC using SEw810i as Modem.

1.system configuration : I am using the SonyEricsson W810i as Modem to connect to NowSMS, using Airtel SIM with Advance GPRS. Provider is Airtel(India).
OS: Windows
PL: Java

2.WE have tried both message as a direct delivery MMSC and As WapPush.

3. IF we send Normal sms from nowsms web portal we are receiving but for MMS are not delivered and or getting delayed.

Please send the MMSC, MMSC Users, MMSC VASP, MMSC Routing settings also.
Please tell if any thing i am missing.

Thanks ... that helps me understand a lot better.

"Direct delivery" as an MMSC doesn't work in most environments because mobile operators block external MMSCs.

What works most reliably in modem configurations like this is to use the modem to send MMS messages via the operator MMSC.

This involves going to the "MMSC Routing" page and adding an MM1 over GPRS modem connection. Then you make that new connection the default outbound route.

This link explains the configuration process in more detail:

http://www.nowsms.com/documentation/ProductDocumentation/mms_notifications_and_c ontent/Connecting_to_operator_MMSC.htm

Sending as WAP push shouldn't have any delays ... but we have noticed some mysterious delays like you describe occasionally on UK networks ... where NowSMS submits the message to the operator, but it doesn't get delivered until quite some time later.

What you want to do is determine whether it is a mobile operator issue or a NowSMS issue. For troubleshooting the WAP push issue, what I'd suggest is doing some simple WAP push tests from the NowSMS web interface.

Send a few simple WAP push messages with short text and a short URL. Do they get delivered promptly?

Try making the text longer than 140 characters. This will force the push to be sent over more than one message. Does this take longer to deliver?

While you're doing the push tests, watch the stats page on the NowSMS server to see when it increments the SMS "Sent" counter. That counter gets incremented when the message has been dispatched to the operator network.
