can NowSMS read existed messages in phone/modem inbox? eg. messages that were received while the phone/modem was disconnected | |||

Hi, NowSMS will do this. However, there is a concept of whether or not the messages have already been "read". Historically, NowSMS only retrieves "unread" messages from the modem in these scenarios. If any messages have been read (via the SMS client in the mobile phone, or example), NowSMS does not touch them. HOWEVER ... we did make a change in NowSMS 2009 to retrieve both read and unread messages. This is mainly an issue only with phone modems where you might accidentally read some messages with the SMS client in the mobile phone ... but it is also an issue with Sierra Wireless modems where the modem software will sometimes mark messages as read when the Sierra software processes the received message.
