Hello. I'm using the NowSms gateway to send sms from a PHP script using a mobile phone as a GMS modem, but the number from which the messages are sent appears on them. Is there any way to hide it -nothing else-, with this software, like using +5841200000 or 9966 as the sender number, or a name if possible? my GSM PHONE IS NOKIA E62 thanks. | |||

Thanks for the answear. What could I do to hide the number? Using or adding what? I'd really like to hide it or at least show something else, like a name | |||

You can only do this through an SMS service provider that supports it (e.g., connection via SMPP, UCP, CIMD or HTTP). (There are different laws, rules and regulations in different countries. Replacing the sender with a name is known as "alphanumeric sender" ... it is becoming less common these days as more and more mobile operators are requiring sender addresses that can be replied to ... such as supporting "STOP" to tell the service to stop sending messages.) -- Des NowSMS Support | |||
