I would like to setup user accounts to send via different smsc connections, i.e. all messages from a specific user regardless of phone number prefix go to a specific smsc connection. I see the routing is based upon phone number prefixes, however, i will have similar prefixes going to different smsc modems based upon the user account. Is this possible?

Hi Tony, Take a look at the settings described in the following thread: http://support.nowsms.com/discus/messages/1/15057.html I think they will address your issue. -- Des NowSMS Support

Hi Des, I am looking at the SMSGW.INI file and see the following, please note that I currently have 2 SMSC connections configured. MultiTech System USB Modem and HTTP - clickatell. [Modem - MultiTech Systems USB GSM_GPRS Wireless Modem] [SMSGW] [SMPP] [HTTP - api.clickatell.com:80] As Instructed I added the following additional lines to the SMSC areas. [Modem - MultiTech Systems USB GSM_GPRS Wireless Modem] AllowedUserOnly=Yes AllowedUser1=USERabc and [HTTP - api.clickatell.com:80] AllowedUserOnly=Yes AllowedUser1=USERxyz When I send a msg on either account the NowSMS reports Warning: SMS message could not be sent to xxx, Error: No SMSC defined to route messages. Have I put the commands in the wrong place in the ini file?

That looks correct. One common issue with this type of configuration is that you still need to check "Support any outbound message traffic". This setting only applies if there is match on an allowed user account, but either it needs to be present, or there needs to be a recipient address match on the route. -- Des NowSMS Support |
