Hello, is the new 2-way functionality for v5.50 backwards compatible? that means - with the ini settings from prior version still all numbers are using same method (e.g. http://....)? Best regards, Wolfgang | |||

Hi Wolfgang, Yes, we are not aware of any issues where previously configured commands would not still work. There have been new options added, such as ... a.) The ability to define that particular commands should only be associated with a specific phone number (including a wildcard match on phone number). b.) More flexible wildcard support for prefix matching. Previously, the wildcard character was only supported by itself "*". But the new pattern matching allows you to use prefixes like "a*" or "test*". c.) Addition of the "mailto:" link. (Actually, this might have gotten added in v5.0 or v5.01, I don't remember.) But, we took great pains to ensure that the existing commands would still work. (If no receive phone number is specified, it is treated the same as a wildcard of "*".) -bn |
