Hi Dalton, I assume your provider wants you to connect using HTTP? If so, you need to configure their HTTP URL format as a template in NowSMS. HTTP is less preferable to standardised SMS protocols like SMPP (or CIMD2 or UCP/EMI), because each provider has a different HTTP implementation. I don't know who your SMS provider is, or what HTTP URL format they support. I would need that information to offer any further assistance. -- Des NowSMS Support

Hi Dalton, An API is an application program interface ... it means a specification (definition) of how other applications can interface with this service. A document that describes the API for this service would be necessary to tell us whether or not it is possible to configure NowSMS to use it. I wish it were easier. If you talk to your provider, ask them if they provide SMPP accounts (that is a much easier way to connect). -- Des NowSMS Support

Hi Dalton, Unfortunately, at this time, we are not able to support that interface. For HTTP connections, we can only support "HTTP GET" interfaces ... that is interfaces where the SMS instructions are included as URL parameters (e.g., http://server:port/path?a=b&xyz=123) The reason for this is because, while we like XML, every vendors XML interface is different, and it is complicated to develop an XML template for each vendor/provider. That said, we are currently working on a new version of NowSMS that will support the interface known as OneAPI. OneAPI is also XML based, and we decided that we would implement OneAPI support via an XML template type of interface that could also support other templates, such as one of the interface described by that attachment. The bad news ... we're still about a month away from having that version available. -- Des NowSMS Support
