The service is stopping after some time. I haven't determined any pattern so far. To keep it running, I'm staying logged into the machine with the console open. I see in the windows event log that the service stops, but the services applet shows it running. Simply opening the console restarts everything. I'm noticing it stopped by the web interface not launching anymore. I found a similar issue in ticket 70402, has any resolution to that been found? I do not have an except.log and have enabled the smsdebug and waiting for it to happen again. | |||

The SMSDebug did not capture anything on the stop, it only recorded the startup as I opened the console. The event log shows that the stop is always on the hour. 10:00:03, 13:00:02, 15:00:05, 17:00:04 | |||

Hi Pete, It is interesting that the stop is on the hour. There is a trial period check on the hour. And I am guessing that is failing, similar to the issue in the thread that you referenced (http://support.nowsms.com/discus/messages/1/70402.html). I don't recall other instances of this problem (although occasionally we have problems where a trial expires prematurely, which seems related to installing under on Windows account, but then using primarily with another). The good news is that this affects the trial period counter only. The easy way to solve this is that we can issue you a temporary license code that simply bypasses this trial logic. Send an e-mail to nowsms@nowsms.com with Attention: Des in the subject line. Include the 8 character "Installation Reference Code" from the "Serial #" page of NowSMS, and I will reply back with a temporary license code for you to install. -- Des NowSMS Support | |||
