Dear Support,
We perform a MMS test on a modem named DaSeT(DaSet is a robot that we use to do this test).
The test is to send a MMS from a Postpaid SIM to itself. This case is OK.
When we try to send a MMS from a Postpaid SIM to a Prepaid SIM , the MMS is received by the Prepaid but WAP Gateway, instead of confirming the shipment, it sends a RESET to the modem (traces of 2 cases attached). We have already see this issue with our WAPGW support that the advise us to analyse with you for a better explanation.

Best regards

Hi,
For more information, the MMS&WAP service works fine, there are no errors logs on NowMMS and on NowWap.
Best regards

Hi Andry,

Where was this trace captured? Was it on the WAP Gateway machine itself or somewhere else?

I ask because it does not make sense to us why the WAP GW would send a RSET at that stage of activity, with no apparent transmission errors.

If the trace was run from somewhere else, I am wondering if another network component (firewall or bandwidth manager) is somehow getting involved. And I'd wonder if a trace captured directly on the WAP GW would be different.

All I can think of is to look for patterns. Do any similar issues happen when web browsing, or is it only with MMS? Is a smaller MMS successful? Does a larger MMS fail at about the same number of bytes (4.5KB to 6KB), or is it different? Any patterns?

I suspect some other network component is getting involved, but I don't know what that could be.
