I'd like to use a feature that I can't found in the current version. Perhaps is it added to an upgrade of nowSMS ? (I use the 2007 old version)... : I need to define users rights to some distribution lists. For instance, a "direction" list must be used only by direction staff, and not by all users who are not granted to see phones numbers and so on... For some other distribution lists, they must be uses only by 3 authorized users, Is a newer version than the one at my customer able to handle the authorizations for users to use/see some lists only ? Is there a solution for attach use of distribution lists to some users and not to other ones ? Thanks in advance for help Pierre | |||

Hi Pierre, In current versions, you can have public distribution lists (accessible to all) or private distribution lists (accessible to only that user). Unfortunately, there are no group settings or "shared-but-not-public" settings for address books or distribution lists. That is a good idea. My quick and dirty solution would be to save as a private distribution lists, and then perhaps create a batch file to copy the list to other user accounts. You will find these lists as .TXT files under DLISTS, with each user having their own subdirectory. -- Des NowSMS Support | |||
