Hello. We have been using NowSMS for several years now. We have three SMPP binds to our service provider SMSCs. We have some new accounting software which is requiring our partner company to add digits to each SMS for easier tracking and billing. Unfortunately none of our service provider SMSCs will accept these added digits. So, if I have an SMPP bind to company ABC and I get an SMS in that has 60131123456789, how can I strip off that 601 so that the SMS can be handed off to them and properly route to the 31 country code of Netherlands?

Hi Shawn, It is possible 2 ways. Accounting callback scripts. See: https://support.nowsms.com/discus/messages/1/70303.html https://support.nowsms.com/discus/messages/1/72070.html Or, a more limited (but easier to implement) prefix conversion capability described here: https://www.nowsms.com/international-prefix-conversion-for-sms -bn

Thanks. We'll check these out and see which one works the easiest. As long as it can strip 3 digits from the front of each message on an SMPP bind, it'll be perfect! |
