Greetings.
Is it possible to make NowSMS to automatically prefer same modems for users?
Meaning if sms for number 12345 was sent via modem11, next time NowSMS would prefer modem11 for sending another sms for number 12345.

I know i can manually add phone number to Preferred SMSC Connection, but we want to know if it possible to make NowSMS Gateway to do that automatically.

Hi Alexey,

That is a good idea, but unfortunately no, there is no way to do this automatically.

My suggestion would be to track it on your end. When you submit a message, include &SMSCRoute=xxxxx to indicate which modem should be used.

We cant use &SMSCRoute= since we dont have personal messages, all our sms is sent to 20-100 people simultaneously. So manually adding phone numbers to Preferred SMSC Connection seems to be the only option here.

Main reason we want to do that is because each modem equals separate sms dialog on the recepients phone. Its a bit problem already with 5 modems, and would be a bigger problem with 14 modems.

Hi Alexey,

It is a good idea. I have discussed it with our engineering team, and they are considering ways to support it in the future. They are referring to it as "sticky routing".

Unfortunately, there's no way to do that today.

My thought was that if you wanted this now...I'm assuming you have a database that you are keeping your numbers in...assign a route for each number in your database, and individually submit each message. Not an ideal solution, a obviously it would be better if NowSMS had this functionality.
