I would like to know about the performance of SMS Gateway, how many sms per minute is possible to send? | |||

The answer to your question depends on: 1.) The speed of your SMSC connection. 2.) Your NowSMS license Since you are asking about "sms per minute" (as opposed to "sms per second"), I'm going to assume that you're asking about a GSM modem type of connection. With a GSM modem connection, there are a variety of factors, including the following: 1.) Does your mobile operator support SMS over GPRS? If your mobile operator support SMS over GPRS, with the right modem, you can see 30 to 60 SMS per minute. Without SMS over GPRS support, you are more in the 5 to 10 range. 2.) Does the placement of your modem allow for a strong signal strength? Generally speaking, a weaker signal will adversely affect performance. 3.) How fast is the operator's SMSC? Unfortunately, this is really outside of your control, but you will find performance variations based upon your operator and how loaded their SMSC is. 4.) Choice of modem can also be a factor, especially when it comes to SMS over GPRS. I've seen some of the best performance with Sierra Wireless Aircards, and Multitech and Wavecom external modems. | |||
