Dear Support, I'm a new user to nowsms. My requirement is as follows. 1. Sent SMS/MMS from my email 2. Receive MMS/SMS to my email. I was able to send/receive sms only not mms. Please help me out. I'm using D-link usb modem for mms and I can send mms out from the web interface. When I send MMS to the modem. I cant receive it in my email. I tried the same with both external and internal email accounts. Please help me out!! | |||

Hi Abdul, I'm trying to understand your situation. You can send/receive SMS. You can send MMS. You cannot receive MMS. Is that correct? When you send an MMS message to the modem, do the statistics in NowSMS show an increase in "SMS Received". The MMS Delivery process starts with an SMS, usually two of them. As a starting point, I need to determine if you are receiving those messages. If you do not see an increase in "SMS Received" when you send an MMS to the modem, do this: Remove the SIM card from the modem, and put the SIM card into a phone. Verify that the phone can send and receive MMS using this SIM card. If the SIM card came with or was provisioned for the modem, the mobile operator may not have enabled support for receiving MMS. So verify that the SIM can receive MMS when in the phone, if it cannot, you will need to contact your mobile operator. -- Des NowSMS Support | |||

Thanks for the reply Des, I can send/receive with phone using the same sim. But using the nowsms gateway I can only send mms from web interface. also when I sent mms to this sim from outside its not showing an increase in count. What might be issue? Please help me.. | |||

Des, I did almost all configuration and tried my best to setup mms, unfortunately I wasn't able to make it up till now. Now, if I send mms from nowsms gateway web interface to my mobile, the mms processed,mms sent will increase in count and in my mobile its showing the symbol for gprs(3g) setup to recieve something and disappears and no mms is delivered to my mobile. Also, when sent mms to nowsms gateway, no response at all. no increment in any count. Please advice me asap. If you need I can provide any snapshot or configuration file anything. I need to set it up. I am using D-link DWM-156 3.57G usb Modem for the same. Also, I'm able to send/receive mms using the same sim card(Etisalat-UAE) on mobile. Hope you understand my situation. I am facing the same problem. Able to send MMS from the modem but not able to receive MMS on the modem. I have verified that the SIM can receive MMS when inserted in a phone. Look forward to the solution. | |||

Hi Abhishek, Are you able to send a simple WAP Push message to the modem phone number, and the modem shows a received message? I am wondering if this modem has an issue with binary SMS. -- Des NowSMS Support | |||
