First I use in Win2003 server.
Then installed to the Win2008R2 server.
Works better, but looks that Huawei go to the sleep mode or ???
NowSMS give error thet Huawei 3G not responding.

If I take off usb cable and connect it again, it wake up every time.

I try AT+CFUN=1
now it looks maybe not go down ...

Windows device power save and wake up have taked off. It didn't help.

If somebody know some USB modem working well in the Wind2003 and/or Win2008 server, tell it.

Hi Jukka,

We've noticed similar issues with several different model Huawei modems.

The problems seem to go away if you make sure that the software that came with the modem (often called Mobile Partner, but sometimes rebranded for a mobile operator) is configured to automatically load.

There are some more details here:

http://www.nowsms.com/sms-and-mms-with-the-huawei-e160-usb-modem

That article is talking about an older model, but we have since observed similar issues with other Huawei modems. The location of the configuration option to save received SMS messages on the SIM card does seem to move around a lot between different versions of the software, so you may need to look for it.

Another potential solution ... we have been running some tests on a NowSMS configuration setting to see how it effects different modems. You may also want to try editing SMSGW.INI (usually in ProgramData\NowSMS), and under the [SMSGW] header, add:

ModemMaxBytesPerSend=1

If this setting does seem to have an effect, please let us know.
