Upgrade to 2020.01.15 and windows 10 after a hardware crash

Plot thickens.

If i remove the default route (route delete 0.0.0.0 <ethernet gw>) it connects fine over the ip gateway without a problem.

The NowSMS GSM modem interface has historically had problems with WAP gateway settings using a DNS name instead of an IP address due to difficulty directing the DNS query over cellular. Using an Android device as a modem is the only reliable option that we have found for these scenarios.

Understood and that was the resolution we used last time (https://support.nowsms.com/discus/messages/485/74254.html).

I have reverted to the IP address and it continued to not function.

The underlying issue right now seems to be (guessing) that the RAS modem's gateway is not honored after a connection and there fore the IP address is not available as it routes over the ethernet's default gateway.

I had to remove the Ethernet's default gateway and caused the connections to start being established but im not sure if this is a good solution.

Have you tried this:

Add OldMMSModemHandling=Yes in the [MMSC] section of MMSC.INI. This reverts some changes to MMS handling with USB modems.
