Hi, Those are the settings defined for the operator CSL: https://www.hkcsl.com/en/mobile-data-setup-guide/ I understand that PCCW = CSL, so I believe those settings are correct. It appears that we have been fighting this same problem for almost 2 months (https://support.nowsms.com/discus/messages/485/113480.html), so I am not optimistic that we can resolve this issue. I will offer three different possible paths: 1.) Use an Android phone as a modem instead of the Huawei device. Quick start guide: https://nowsms.com/now-sms-mms-android-modem-quick-start-guide Basically, an app gets installed on the Android phone and NowSMS communicates with the app to send/receive SMS and MMS. We generally recommend using an Android phone as a modem as a preferred solution for sending/receiving MMS, as compared to a dedicated modem device. The problem with dedicated modem devices is that the mobile operator assumes that the device is being used to provide mobile internet connectivity. The device's IMEI (unique id/serial number of the device) identifies it as a modem. Some operators implement APN overrides, and when a modem device connects, they are routed to an APN that only provides internet connectivity, but does not offer data connectivity for MMS. (Data connectivity for MMS is internal to the operator network.) By contrast, an Android device is a phone, and data connectivity for MMS will not be blocked in such a way. Even in environments where modems are not blocked from sending MMS, using an Android device to send/receive MMS is much faster than using a modem device as a modem device is using a serial interface which usually has a top speed of 110Kbps to 220Kbps. I strongly recommend trying an Android device as a modem instead of the Huawei modem device. 2.) If you want to keep attempting to use the modem, try a SIM card from a different mobile operator. 3.) To further troubleshoot your current configuration, on the "Serial #" page in NowSMS, enable the MMSWAPDEBUG.LOG. Stop and then start the NowSMS service. Try sending another message, and then collect the contents of the MMSWAPDEBUG.LOG. This will allow us to see, in more detail, what is happening with the data connection attempt. This may provide some new information. Regards, Bryce Norwood NowSMS Support |
