I'm having problems configuring the gateway to send an MMS directly via the Siemens MC35i GPRS modem on the O2 UK network. We have this working fine on another gateway (Mozat), so it is not a SIM/modem issue. If anyone has achieved this (or something similar) please help!

Hi Mark,

Apologies for the delay in response. I fell seriously behind with messages in the forum here.

But unfortunately, I'm not sure how to best help, because I don't know what exactly you've tried.

Generally speaking, you're going to want to configure a connection to an operator MMSC using a GPRS modem, as described in the following link:

http://www.nowsms.com/documentation/ProductDocumentation/mms_notifications_and_c ontent/Connecting_to_operator_MMSC.htm

The settings for O2 UK can be found in the following thread:

Is this a forum where I should ask why my SMS texts 02 to 02 are so frequently delayed, anything from 30 mins to 9 hours. I daily text arrangements or information where timing is of the essence, only to find it has not been received, or that the reply has been sent but not received. Is it signal, or battery power, or network congestion?

Well, this is a support forum for the Now SMS/MMS Gateway product. So if you are having a problem with NowSMS, we'd need more details about the setup.

If it's a phone to phone sending problem, I can't be of much help.

Although I can note one observation. If you are sending long text messages (longer than 160 characters) or binary messages, O2 seems to sometimes be very slow processing these messages, while short text messages fly through.
