From other threads, it looks like you have progressed, so please see the following for responses to your most recent queries: http://support.nowsms.com/discus/messages/485/13270.html We do not support "file:" references in a URL request. (This is primarily a security consideration.)
Once the service is installed, you can use the commands NET START NOWSMS and NET START NOWMMSC to start the services. And NET STOP NOWSMS and NET STOP NOWMMSC to stop the services.
It is not necessary to precompile the MMS file to submit it. You can include multiple MMSFILE references in the URL request to reference all of the components to be included in the message. When you submit a precompiled MMS in this fashion, the recipient list in the precompiled MMS is ignored. The subject in the precompiled MMS is used only if no subject is included in the submission request.
I don't have any experience using Alcatel phones as GSM modems. But SE phones work quite well in this capacity. -bn

alcatelOT535 have some problem when sending an sms. my alcatel gsm modem cannot send or doesnt support an acknowledge message for sms. so when i succesfully send an sms, the application always tell that sending procees is fail. and it keep sending until i delete sms query in q folder. but for sending mms, it works great.. and for net start and net stop, it work only when the services is already registered (or when the run as services checkbox checked). for a simple analogy can i check or uncheck that run as services checkbox with a command prompt?

I'd be curious to see the SMSDEBUG.LOG showing the SMS sending attemps with the Alcatel. Regarding the services issue ... when the services are installed, you can use: NET START NOWSMS NET START NOWMMSC NET STOP NOWSMS NET STOP NOWMMSC ... to start/stop the services. You ask about being able to install and remove the services from the command line. For this, the following can be used: SMSGW -INSTALLSERVICE SMSGW -REMOVESERVICE The above will pop-up a dialog box before continuing. To disable the dialog box, use: SMSGW -QUIET -INSTALLSERVICE SMSGW -QUIET -REMOVESERVICE -bn

Sorry, this is the support forum for the Now SMS/MMS gateway software product. I don't have any advice to offer you on activating MMS on your phone with your mobile operator. |
