Bryce, I'm having problems with some messages, they get this apperance and can not be delivered. It's happening incoming and outgoing. Hi Jorge, What version of NowSMS? In SMPP environments, data coding value of 3 indicates that the message is encoded in the Latin/iso-8859-1 character set. When NowSMS receives a message via SMPP with that encoding, it knows that this is just a character set indication, and it will use the normal text DCS as 0 for routing the message onward. (Unless the upstream SMSC is SMPP based and also configured to use the Latin/iso-8859-1 character set, but even then NowSMS would not indicate DCS=3 in the SMSOUT log.) Jorge, Hmm ... I think I would need to see debug logs to understand. Enable the SMSDEBUG.LOG, and try to capture one of these message transactions in both the SMSDEBUG.LOG and SMPPDEBUG.LOG. E-mail the log files to nowsms@now.co.uk with "Attention: Bryce" in the subject line of your message ... and reference this thread ("SMS DCS=3 problem" should be enough to jog my memory). You might also want to try the update for NowSMS 2006 posted at http://www.nowsms.com/download/2006patch.zip to see if this resolves the problem as there were some minor updates in detecting different SMPP encodings. -bn | |||
