Hi Oren, As I've been on light duty over the holidays, we've been corresponding about this via e-mail. The short answer is that while NowSMS supports a great deal of WAP push functionality, it does not support PAP (Push Access Protocol) as a server. As long as you use the NowSMS URL parameters for generating push messages, you're fine. There's just no support at this time for using PAP to send messages via NowSMS. (Quite frankly, we haven't seen much demand for this capability.) When you configure NowSMS to use an external WAP Push Proxy Gateway, as described at http://www.nowsms.com/support/bulletins/tb-nowsms-007.htm, NowSMS acts as a PAP client to a push proxy gateway. My understanding is that you're looking at setting up 2 NowSMS servers, and wanted one to just act as an MMSC. In that case, what you could do is configure an SMSC connection from the MMSC to another NowSMS ... using either SMPP or HTTP to have the MMSC NowSMS submit its SMS/WAP push to the NowSMS that is performing the SMS duties. -bn |
