Yes.
Yes. It is technically more difficult to reply with MMS content than with a simple SMS text response, but it is certainly possible.
First note that we are not aware of any mobile phone that can be used for receiving MMS as a GSM/GPRS modem ... generally speaking a mobile phone used as a modem can be used for sending MMS only. (A dedicated GSM/GPRS modem device which is not a phone does not have this limitation ... the problem is that the MMS client on an actual mobile phone will intercept the MMS notification before it gets forwarded over the modem interface.) Also note that some mobile phones, most notably Nokia Series 60 devices, do not support receiving SMS over the GSM modem interface, but support sending only. And, of course, some phones do not support a GSM modem interface for sending/receiving SMS at all. For more information about a specific phone, you can try searching the discussion board here with the name of the phone ... or try it. How to configure ... Generally speaking, you add the modem to the "SMSC" list in NowSMS, and then you go back into "Properties" for the modem in that list and check "Receive SMS". Some examples and info on getting started with receiving SMS messages with NowSMS can be found here: http://support.nowsms.com/discus/messages/1/4520.html http://www.nowsms.com/documentation/ProductDocumentation/2_way_sms_support.htm |
