Hi All,

I have made the following settings on my friends Nokia handset. The Access point name is pointed to service provider’s GPRS URL and not the default GPRS settings. For example, In India Airtel has default GPRS setting called AirtelLive, and there will be an advanced GPRS setting called airtelgprs.com.
So, if my friend in US wants to access the same then which operator should he setup.

Steps to be followed to setup on Nokia handset:

1. Create a Access Point:
a. Menu -> Tools -> Settings -> Connection -> Access Points -> Options - > New Access Point - > Use default settings
i. Connection Name – TestMMS
ii. Data bearer – Packet data
iii. Access Point Name – airtelgprs.com ( give your operator’s GPRS connectivity name)
iv. User name – none
v. Prompt password – no
vi. Password – none
vii. Authentication – Normal
viii. Homepage – http://<Public IP>:80/test=test
ix. Select Advance settings : options - > Advanced Settings
1. Network Type – Ipv4
2. Phone IP Address – Automatic
3. DNS address – Automatic
4. Proxy server Address – none
5. Proxy port number – 0
2. Selection of Default Access Point:
a. Menu - > Message - > Options -> Settings - > Multimedia Message - > Access Point In Use - >Change
i. Select TestMMS as Default Access Point

Please let me know if any further configuration need to be done.

Please find the enclosed log file.

Thanks,
Arvind
