Hello, I followed the documentation and get to Define an MMSC User step. I filled out the fields and click OK but the user I created didn't show in the list. Am I missing something? Please advice. Thanks Chau | |||

Hi Chau, What version of NowSMS are you using? Are you trying to use an old version? (I seem to recall a problem where in some situations with older versions, the first user added didn't show up in the list until a second user was added.) -bn | |||

I'm using v2008.06.03. I tried adding multiple users and they still didn't show up in the list. Is there anything else that i can try? | |||

Hi Chau, I assume this is a new installation. Have you added any unusual configuration parameters to MMSC.INI by manually editing that file? I'm assuming that you haven't ... that's just the only way that I could see something unusual like this happening. Without that, I'm at a loss for ideas as to what could be going wrong. What OS version are you running on? The user list is stored in a file named MMSCUSERS.DB. On Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008, this file is located in the ProgramData\NowSMS directory. For earlier versions of Windows, this is located in the Program Files\NowSMS directory. Does this file exist? If it does exist, try deleting it, and then go back and try to add a user again, see if it will then work. -bn | |||
