The user manual for the Siemens MC60 can be found at the following link:

http://www.my-siemens.com/MySiemens/Files/Addon/an/hq/mw/hd/hd/mc60_ug_long_eng_ 1.pdf

You need to correlate the list of settings that O2 gave you with the information in the MC60 manual.

iv just bought a siemens mc60 that was originaly on t-mobile. ive put my o2 sim card in and followed all the instructions for mms settings more than once to activate mms. iv managed to send the mms but the other person doesn't recieve it. it isn't his phone because he can recieve them of other people, so it's something to do with mine. im getting charged to send the mms. i cant recieve mms either. iv phoned up the o2 customer care and they said they would e-mail me the settings which i haven't recieved. ive used links of this web page aswell but cant seem to get it working. can you please help me?

The one problem that i am having is that i cannot download games, i can download ringtones but not games. It tells me that i yhave an Incorrect GPRS profile, but the profile i put in is fine for everything else so what is wrong now???!!!

Regarding the games problem ...

I am not sure about the MC60. However, with many Siemens phones, these phones switch from WAP to HTTP in order to download games.

This will only work if there is an HTTP profile setup in the phone that allows full internet connectivity (like if you were using the phone as a GPRS modem for a PC).

You need to define a GPRS profile on the phone that connects to a GPRS APN on your mobile operator's network which supports full internet connectivity. (This APN is mobile operator specific. And, your operator might require you to enable an additional service on your phone in order to use it.) Then select this profile as the HTTP profile in your phone's configuration. (See page 70 of the manual that I referenced above.)

Sorry if this information is a bit cryptic, but hopefully it will point you in the right direction.

Please note ... I don't work for O2 or Siemens.

The purpose of this discussion board is to provide support for our software product, the Now SMS/MMS Gateway. I just try to help people out when I can.

If you are certain that your settings are correct, but you cannot send MMS messages, then perhaps your account is not enable for MMS with O2.

Well, I can say that is a most unusual problem. If you can send MMS messages to others, then this suggests that your settings are ok. You might need to talk to O2 to ask them if there is something wrong with your account on their MMSC.

It is also possible that the phone might be in a confused state. If you haven't removed the battery from your phone to reset it, try that.

Paul,

See the 7th message in this thread. With many Siemens phones (and I believe it is the case with the MC60 as well), they switch from WAP to HTTP in order to download games or applications.

Try setting up an HTTP Profile in the phone (pointer to the MC60 manual above), and for O2 the GPRS APN for full internet access is "mobile.o2.co.uk", with a username of "web" and password of "password". (For payandgo, it is "payandgo.o2.co.uk" with a username and password both of "payandgo".)

I'm not certain this will help ... but it's the best advice I can offer ...

If you are having problems accessing GPRS (internet) on the MC60, this is likely because your phone was purchased pre-configured for one operator, and you have changed operators.

The GPRS settings for each mobile operator are different.

The second message in this thread has a link to the user manual for the MC60. Pages 52-54 and page 69-70 explain where to configure settings.

In a GPRS environment, the Access Point Name (APN, see page 69-70) and WAP Gateway "IP address" (see page 54) are the most important settings that must be configured. (The WAP Gateway IP address also requires a port number, for that use 9201.)

You'll need to find out what these settings are for your mobile operator.

You'll also want to configure a "Home Page URL" (page 54) to be the start page in the browser. You can either use your operator's start page, or that of some other service.

I find that if you mix the barley with hops, yeast and water, let it ferment, and then drink a lot of it, it can affect your vision. So that part is normal.

I can't help you with any problems regarding "MY SIEMENS" ... try the forums under the following link and you should find people more knowledgeable about setup issues on Siemens phones: http://www.club-siemens.net/fun/
