Hi,

I need to send mms messages with pictures, not wap-push, to Spanish operators for a customer's project. They seems that had their MMS gateways closed in some way.

Prefered way to send data is via HTTP, sending receiver, text and image.

I did a lot of testing with other platforms and solutions but no luck.

If you can offer consulting services, the whole solution or any API and bulk messages, please contact me.

First thing to avoid waste your time and mine could be send a MMS test message with picture to +34657869756. If works we can go into details. Send some reference or your email address to identify you.

Regards,
Jose

Hi Jose,

I wish I could assist, but we generally stick to the software side of things.

Note that if the operators' MMS systems are closed, you are going to require a connection into one or more of the operator MMSCs in order to send MMS messages.

For low volumes of messages, you can do this with a GSM/GPRS modem. And if the operators all have interconnections with each other, then a GSM/GPRS modem with a connection to one mobile operator can send messages to users of any of the mobile operators. (The operator charges end-user prices for sending MMS using this approach, so you'd want to negotiate this for higher volumes, or go to an alternate type of connection such as MM7 or MM4/SMTP.)

I'd send you a test MMS message, but I don't have a Spanish SIM card to put into a modem to send it.

But basically, using NowSMS, you configure NowSMS to connect to a GSM/GPRS modem (such as the Siemens MC35), and you configure the GSM/GPRS settings for connecting to that operator's MMSC.

Details can be found at the following links:

http://www.nowsms.com/documentation/ProductDocumentation/mms_notifications_and_content/Connecting_to_operator_MMSC.htm

And note the advice on the following thread:

http://support.nowsms.com/discus/messages/485/3186.html

I don't have references to the MMS settings of all of the Spanish operators, but these can be found easily enough by looking at a phone preconfigured for MMS on the appropriate operator. The Amena settings can be found at the following link:

Good luck!

Hi Mike,

I see you work with Arne Lovius.

I'm going to ask someone to follow-up with you and find out what type of projects you are potentially interested in.

Bryce

Please do. I've been working with Jose for a little while to try and determine the best solution for his needs, and I'd be happy to do the same for anybody else.
