Good Morning, I have a lot of complaint from users of nokia C3 and X2 . When I try to send a MMS, the mobile connect to the wapgw, but after that nothing happen, I attach two files: MMSDEBUG and WAPGPRSDEBUG, could you please check if you have any similar issue ?. I updated the las software version of the X2, and the 2 files is a test performed with a nokia X2, msisdn: 595971794005. The version of my NowSMS/MMS GATEWAY is:v2006.10.31. Hi José, Unfortunately, the WAPDEBUG.LOG shows the transaction from that phone number, but it appears the MMSC service was restarted as it shows no record of transaction from that device. (The transaction in the WAPDEBUG.LOG is before the first entry in MMSCDEBUG.LOG.) Can you please try again to generate another set of debug logs? I will continue studying the logs to see if I missed something, however, I think I need another set of debug logs. -- Des NowSMS Support | ||||

Hi José, I've done a little more study of the MMSCDEBUG.LOG that you sent me. I can see a Nokia C3 user that is sending and receiving MMS messages without any problem. Unfortunately, I don't see any traffic from a Nokia X2 during the time period covered by that log. I did see several transactions from other devices where the accounting callback appeared to reject the message. I am wondering if that might be what is impacting the X2. (Examples 3520537 sending to 3600320 and 3522826 sending to 3524773.) An MMSCDEBUG.LOG that shows a transaction attempt from the X2 should tell us more. -- Des NowSMS Support | ||||

Hi Des, Thanks for your response, but the problems with the nokia X2 is when the mobile phone is connected to the APN mms, The phone Don't try to send the MMS MESSAGE, I don't have any error with the debug, I will perform more test's and I will enable the MMSCdebug and WAPGPRS debug option and also I will capture with the wireshark the TCP traffic. I wrote to Nokia Support an then recommend to me to perform an upgrade in the mobile phone, but with the software upgrade Still don't send the MMS MESSAGE, the mms message never go out from the mobile phone. Anyway all the mms message is sended to the nokia X2, is received with no problem, the issue ever is when you try to send the mms Wtih the C3 phones I have the next behavior: -When you try to send mms minor f 10 kb, the mms go out in some moment, but when the mms is upper of 10 kb, the message never go out. -All the mms message is sended to the nokia c3 you receive with any problem at all. So, if you had some similar issue in some other network, coul you please help me to discover how can I solve this issue, thanks a lot for your support. Hi José, We would particularly be interested to see a WAPDEBUG.LOG, as this would tell us how much data is received before the connection is aborted. However, it is very likely that the problem is occuring at a network level below TCP. You may want to use the trial version of NowWAP to install a separate WAP gateway. Configure the problem device to use the test gateway (with no change to MMSC). If you do this, it will be easier to use Wireshark to capture traffic only to/from that device to allow for further troubleshooting. -bn | ||||
