Hi, I want to send MMS via my application (which is located in a separate/shared server). I'm using MM7 in my app. Since I will be testing my own app, I won't be using an operator's MMSC. BTW, I tried to successfully test send SMS and MMS first via android modem. I'm confused as to what I should put in the MMS Routing. What are the settings I need to achieve this? Thanks in advance :) | |||

HI, I'm assuming that you want to use MM7 in your app to send and/or receive MMS messages. The next step for sending would be to define an MMSC VASP account. Basic settings like this should suffice. "Standard MMS Delivery" means that any MMS messages received from this account will be routed normally...in your case, out via the Android phone. Note that your MM7 URL from your app must be /MM7 with account name and password in basic authentication header (Authorization:), or use /MM7/account=password Also note that the post should be directed to the HTTP port for the MMSC, which is different from the port for the web interface and SMS submission. Routing received messages to your app via MM7 is a bit more involved. First you must define under "MMSC Routing", how to connect to your MM7 receiver. Then, under modem properties, there are MMS Receive settings. In those settings, it is possible to configure that any MMS messages received from the Android device get routed to the MM7 connection. -- Des NowSMS Support |
