Hi,

We are currently running your NowSMS Gateway which is licensed for 5 messages per second and software agreement until 2020/04/23.

We use a SMPP SMSC for sending our messages and we are currently on NowSMS Gateway v2013.09.26 (i know its an old release but everything was working until yesterday.)

It looks like we are only sending 1 sms per minute but in the serial tab it show us as 99.00% threshold, which is weird as we are having issues sending and have a 5 msg/sec license. Not sure what is causing our sending speed to our SMPP to be extremely slow. I have worked with our SMPP provider to see if we can improve anything with no end - So, i am contact you to see if there is anything we can do or if its something with the application.

Please let me know what you require to troubleshoot this problem

Hi Blair,

Hopefully you have already contacted our sales team, who are familiar with this issue.

Some older NowSMS releases are not compatible with newer licenses, which causes this problem.

There are 2 options:

1.) Remove the new license and reapply the old license. Restart NowSMS services.

OR

2.) Install the updated version of NowSMS.

Hi Des,

Thanks for the information.

Yes, i did contact the sales team and I ended up upgraded to the newest version of NowSMS which resolved the issue. Thanks for the information as i had no idea it was an issue as we have been using that license with the older release since april without issue.

Hi Blair,

In most scenarios, the running service does not detect a license change until it is restarted, which means it can be quite awhile until the problem presents.

We need to do a better job of communicating this warning.
