Hello everybody we know: GSM 03.40 or 3GPP TS 23.040 is a mobile telephony standard describing the format of the Transfer Protocol Data Units (TPDU) of the Short Message Transfer Protocol (SM-TP) used in the GSM networks to carry Short Messages. This format is used throughout the whole transfer of the message in the GSM mobile network. And now my question is: Does anyone know what values we should use as the PID (Protocol identifier) and DCS (Data Coding Scheme) parameters to sending a notification message (wakeup message or PKG#0) according to the OMA protocol at binary message format? Thanks In Advance:)

I'm not familiar with this particular message type. Where is it defined? You mention OMA...is it encapsulated in a WAP Push like other OMA defined messages? -- Des NowSMS Support

yes. the binary message contains some parameters and they encapsulated in a WAP Push like other OMA defined messages. And the reference is the following: "OMA Device Management Notification Initiated Session- Candidate Version 1.2 – 07 Jun 2005" Usually for text messages the values of these two parameters are: PID= 00 DCS= F5

As the content is encapsulated in a WAP push, I would use those values. |
