Hello, I recently updated nowsms to version 2020. But I am unable to edit the username field. The field does not allow me to change. Is there any way to be able to change users' username? Thank you. | |||

Sorry, that capability did exist in previous versions, but it was not reliable. What information are you trying to preserve? The only thing I can think of is the past statistics for messages sent. This information is contained in the *.QTA files in the USERS/username directory, and can be manually copied between accounts if this is what you are trying to preserve. -- Des NowSMS Support | |||

What are .QTA files and how can we read them? I try to open it with a text program (notepad) but I get confused text. Which program is suitable for opening * .QTA files? | |||

These are binary files specific to NowSMS. They are where NowSMS saves statistical information about the number of messages a user account submits. You would need to write a program to read them. Basically, it contains a binary array of the number of messages sent by that account on each day of the year. There is a 32-bit (4 byte) value recorded for each day of the year. -- Des NowSMS Support | |||
