I had purchases a perpetual license and now need to move my install to a new machine. I contacted your support via email but got back a response from your salesman trying to fraud me by forcing me to buy an upgrade. Please help me resolve this situation. | |||

Hi Raffi, Firstly, I’m not a salesman, secondly the licence is perpetual on the computer it was licensed for. I believe you first purchased this licence in 2006 and last purchased a Software Upgrade Agreement in 2013, that was 9 years ago. I don’t believe it’s unreasonable to ask for a payment after 9 years use and you get all the benefits of 9 years of development. We have contacted you over 16 times regarding upgrading and you have ignored all the emails. We reserve the right to change our terms as I have explained in our email exchanges which is on going but I see you choose to post in a public forum, for what reason is beyond me. To clarify we will issue a new licence when you have a valid Software Upgrade Agreement. | |||

Yes, it is unreasonable to ask for payment on something we have already paid for. I agree the license is for one computer. We had issues with our server, requiring the move to a new server. I ignored your 16 emails because I did NOT want to upgrade. I chose to post on a public forum, hoping to connect with someone reasonable at your company. | |||

Raffi, I have explained to you in all my emails why it is not possible to licence a version of NowSMS that is 9 years out of date. I am not going to repeat that explanation here. This makes it impossible for us to create a licence that can be applied to your existing version of NowSMS. With this in mind we have made you an offer at a 50% discount on the current price you would normally pay, that would allow you to take the benefit of 9 years worth of updates and enhancements with the current version. Also we do not want our support team supporting issues that may have been fixed in later releases. | |||
